Indian Railways has achieved another great achievement which is a matter of pride for the country. According to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, India has developed its first hydrogen fueled train engine. And this is not just an engine but the most powerful hydrogen engine in the world. Its capacity is 1200 horsepower, which is almost more than any other hydrogen engine in the world.
Till now only four countries in the world were making hydrogen-powered engines, in which these engines give a maximum capacity of up to 500-600 horsepower. But India has set new standards in this category by using its indigenous technology.
India will establish itself in global railway technology.
The trial of this engine will be started soon, and after its success, India will create a new place on the map of global railway technology. Not only is it technically important, but this process is also a big victory for the environment. Hydrogen fuel engine is pollution-free, which will drastically reduce the carbon footprint of Indian Railways.
There was a time when India was dependent on other countries for railway technology. But now with the indigenous technology and hard work of Indian engineers, we are writing new history. This engine not only showcases our technological capability but is also another step towards “Atmanirbhar Bharat”.
Now the world is looking towards India. Will we be able to take rail transport into a new era by using this technology? This now remains to be seen. But one thing is certain – India is setting new standards in its rail technology and the world is accepting its glory.
