Yashoda AI Campaign Launched in Bareilly to Empower 1 Crore Women with AI and Digital Safety Skills


India’s first nationwide AI literacy initiative for women, led by NCW and Future Shift Labs

Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh | May 22, 2025 — Taking a bold step toward women’s digital empowerment, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has officially launched the ‘Yashoda AI: Your AI Sakhi’ campaign at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly. The initiative, in collaboration with Future Shift Labs (FSL), aims to train over 10 million (1 crore) women in artificial intelligence (AI), digital literacy, and cyber safety.

What is Yashoda AI?

‘Yashoda AI’ is a dedicated digital learning platform and mobile app developed by NCW to equip women, especially from rural and semi-urban areas, with essential knowledge of AI tools, digital platforms, and online safety. The app is available in local Indian languages to ensure accessibility for all.
